Final week of current Unit: Introduction to Shakespeare
In this unit, students have been exploring and studying the life and times of William Shakespeare They have looked at Shakespearean language and acted out some scenes. They have become knowledgeable about a number of characters and themes from a variety of plays including Hamlet, Macbeth, Taming of the Shrew and Twelfth Night.
Guiding Questions:
Why has Shakespeare been so popular for so long? How do I read Shakespeare? Why is Shakespeare’s language so different from modern English?
